Extracurricular Activities

Interest Clubs

Interest-based clubs form the backbone of life outside the classroom at Cambridge Tutors College, spanning diverse directions: from history to Christianity, from science to creative pursuits, from the Cambridge Tutors College choir to sports sections. While participation remains voluntary, these activities matter for well-rounded development that British universities look for during admissions.

Daily Campus Life

Campus living is a defining feature of British education, which Cambridge Tutors College embraces fully. Student committee elections, Halloween, Christmas parties, formal balls, quiz nights, choir, house performances, evening concerts—events happen daily, and Cambridge Tutors College students eagerly take part in them.

Trips

Christmas shopping at Bluewater, a visit to Windsor Castle, a historical journey to Portsmouth, exploring the London Eye, Stonehenge, Bath, Thorpe Park.

Excursions are among the most engaging aspects of Cambridge Tutors College life. Students discover Britain’s major landmarks, enjoy theme parks, try go-karting, skydiving, paintball, and even peek behind the scenes of Harry Potter at Warner Bros. Studio.

International Trips

Twice a year as part of their programme, Cambridge Tutors College students head abroad, and these journeys consistently become some of the most anticipated events. Five-day trips offer a chance to explore other countries more closely: recent groups visited Rome in Italy and Barcelona in Spain.

Debates as One of Cambridge Tutors College’s Most Important Extracurricular Activities

Debates hold an important place in British schools and colleges, helping students develop as individuals and future university applicants. Students learn logic and coherence, practice their speaking skills, gain confidence in public presentations. At Cambridge Tutors College, discussion topics are chosen by students themselves, while teachers join the process too.

  • Artificial intelligence development
  • Internet trolling should be illegal
  • Why Christmas should be cancelled
  • Freedom of speech should be preserved even in matters of religion
  • etc.

This year, the local community organised a Hustings event, which brought together top debaters from Croydon.

Young Enterprise

Young Enterprise is a nationwide entrepreneurship programme for A-level students. Through it, Cambridge Tutors College participants gain real work experience, learn to delegate tasks, and earn their first profits. Business projects cover a broad spectrum: from scented candles and jewellery to mobile apps and gadgets. Cambridge Tutors College regularly wins at Croydon finals, and this year the team reached the South London final.
